Full hardware support once set up: the PTT key, programmable side keys, and audio all work well. It has no rotary knob, but the channel rocker steps talkgroups in its place. Its hardware PTT button ships locked to Motorola's own PTT client, so a one-time enabler APK is required (see tip).
The ION's PTT button is bound to Motorola's built-in PTT service out of the box, so third-party apps never see it being pressed. The PTT Enabler bridges it, but installing the APK is only half of it: Android won't let you grant log access from the UI, so run adb shell pm grant com.jcalado.voxptt android.permission.READ_LOGS once as well. Then open the app (it shows up as Vox PTT), pick VoxDMR as the target, and tap Start bridge — it restarts on boot from then on.

PTT keys correctly and the DMR ID registers on the network, and RX audio is good — but nothing is ever transmitted: the TX meter stays flat even though the microphone indicator lights up. Other PTT apps transmit fine on the same handset, so this looks like an app-side capture problem rather than a hardware limit. This model has no rotary knob. Tested on Android 13.
